How this started
My Shopify journey started in 2015, when a bike shop in Pietermaritzburg asked me to build them a 200-product store. Shopify was still new in South Africa then, and there wasn't much to go on.
That project took months, and there were plenty of frustrating moments where I couldn't see the path forwards. When the store launched, I focused on growing sales organically through content SEO, and it worked. The store started selling high-value products, including Scott MTB bikes, entirely through organic search. No paid ads. Just people searching in Google, finding the store, and buying.
That's when something clicked for me: I love building eCommerce websites that grow sales and businesses. That's the work I've been doing ever since.

My Approach
Before Shopify, I I studied and obtained a degree in Philosophy and Communications. I then worked in journalism and publishing in South Africa and the UK. Both taught me the same thing in different ways: how to take something complicated and make it feel simple and natural.
That's what I bring to eCommerce and each business I work with. A great online store should be well designed and also easy to understand. Customers should know where they are, what to do next, and why they should trust your brand enough to buy. That requires clear, strategic thinking as much as beautiful visual assets.
Ten-plus years of Shopify experience, combined with that way of thinking, is what shapes how I build eCommerce systems: how customers move through your store, where they hesitate, and what gives them the confidence to buy.
What drives my work
I build stores for brands in supplements, beauty, health, wellness, perfume, clothing, food and beverage, jewellery and home or decor.
Too often, great products are let down by their website. A DIY store that undermines trust. A platform that's become unmanageable. Design that looks good but loses people at the wrong moment. I fix those sorts of problems.
I'm not the cheapest option, and I'm not trying to be. Every project is scoped and quoted individually, after we've had a friendly conversation, because this kind of work can't be sold off a shelf.
That first call isn't a sales pitch. It's a discovery call. I want to understand your business and figure out, honestly, whether I'm the right fit and what would actually help.
