About the studio
I'm Meg Hodson, a Verified Shopify Partner who's been building Shopify stores since 2015, back when the platform was so new in South Africa that my first build, a 200-product store for a mountain bike shop, took months of figuring things out the hard way. A decade on, that figuring-out is done. The Shopify Build exists because most stores don't need a sprawling project; they need someone who's built enough of them to know exactly what matters for conversion and how to do it properly.
My background is in journalism and communications, with a Philosophy degree in the mix, which means training in taking something complicated and making it feel simple and intuitive (the key to a successful eCommerce website). That's what you when you partner with me: a store where the thinking is done for you, the foundations are handled properly, and the handover leaves you in control of what you own.
