Custom WordPress website for Saysha Baker Photography

This is one of my favourite projects to date, for a for a lovely and kind human plus a fellow creative – Saysha Baker.

Saysha and I connected on Instagram and have been following one another for years. It’s been a joy to work with her imagery that feels so familiar while rebuilding her website.

She first approached me in 2021 while redesigning her brand with Robyn from Studio Evergreen (whose design work I love). Saysha’s new-look branding is gorgeous. I’m in awe of the dreamy colour palette with its touch of the unexpected.

Goal’s for this website redesign project

Create a new website that is responsive. Saysha’s old website was built years ago and didn’t adjust to fit smartphones / small screens.
Visually communicate Saysha’s warn and authentic approach and documentary photography style.
Make it easy and appealing for clients to see her work and book a shoot with her.
Make it easy for Saysha to manage her own website after launch.
Design simplicity.

I love how this project came together. Working with Saysha’s imagery and branding was such a treat!

With this project I spent considerable time adding little details to create a distinctive, but simple design, that supports Saysha as she moves into her next phase of business.
