what this service includes:

We know how confusing and overwhelming it can feel to plan out an eCommerce website for your business if you’ve never done it before. That’s why we offer a dedicated planning and consulting service to help you structure your digital storefront and decide on the exact features and functionality it needs.

Once we have a plan and feature list in place, and all your online store content has been collected and sent to us, we can begin designing and developing your eCommerce website.

We build online stores in WordPress/WooCommerce or Shopify, and will decide which platform best suits your needs, future plans and budget during the discovery/consultation phase.

As part of the build process, we will help you connect your store to important marketing and sales channels. This includes: 1.Connecting your website to an email marketing service such as MailerLite so you can grow your subscriber list; 2. Creating and installing the Facebook Pixel (an important tracking code that will help you create better social media ad campaigns in the future); and 3. Helping you set up Facebook + Instagram Shops.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is about making sure your website follows Google’s best practices. Our service includes making sure your website is structured correctly for SEO; writing SEO data for each page and product; and submitting your website to Search Console, Google’s free SEO performance tool. This will set a strong SEO foundation for your website.

Setting up Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager correctly is vital for your eCommerce business and conversion optimisation. Using these two tools, you can track important eCommerce analytics such as: conversion rates; add to basket rates; checkout funnel behaviour; popular searches people are doing on your store and bounce rates for landing pages and products, to name a few. An out-of-the-box analytics set up (such as most generalist web designers offer) is not customised for eCommerce. We include an in-depth analytics set up service tailored for eCommerce.

We create training videos showing you how to manage your own online store, including how to edit/add/remove products; manage orders; and send out email campaigns.

Once your website has launched, we provide 30 days’ tech support. This is to identify and fix any issues that may pop up after launch, and to ease you into the management of your online store.

Our work process for completing your eCommerce project:

1. Discovery | project brief

2. Designing the look and feel

This phase is all about designing the look, feel and flow of your new eCommerce website, starting with a website style guide and homepage design. This takes place in a special development environment set up for your project.

3. Developing functionality | gathering feedback

This phase is about building out the eCommerce functionalities and integrations included in your project. It’s also about reviewing the website and providing feedback.

4. Testing | prepping to go live

This phase includes: testing the website across a number of devices and screen sizes; testing eCommerce functionality and automations, including email marketing integrations; and prepping the website to go live. Every eCommerce package includes 30 days’ tech support after going live and website video training for people who want to manage and maintain their own websites.
