5 signs it’s time to rebuild & redesign your website

Your business has grown and evolved, but does your current website reflect what it has become?

If not, then it’s time to consider a strategic website redesign and rebuild. Here are 5 signs your website needs a revamp:

1- Your website looks terrible (and doesn’t work properly) on mobile devices

A telltale sign that it’s time for a rebuild and redesign is when your website is not mobile responsive, which means the website doesn’t adjust to fit on small mobile screens.

I use an amazing free tool called Google Analytics on my clients’ websites. This tool shows how many website visitors view the website from desktop, tablet and mobile devices. It even shows what operating systems and browsers they use. For many, especially eCommerce websites, the majority of website visitors view the site using their mobile phone.

So, if your website is not mobile responsive, you’re potentially losing many website visitors (and potential clients + customers).

2- You’re too embarrassed to send people to your website or share your website on social media profiles

Do you find yourself hesitating when someone asks for your website url? Are you too embarrassed to ever share your website with potential customers or clients? Maybe it was designed ages ago. Maybe it doesn’t work properly. Maybe it simply no longer reflects your brand’s image. Whatever the reason, if you feel like this then it is definitely time for a new website.

Imagine what it would feel like to have a website you are proud of and want to share? That communicates your vision, flair and style? A website that actually helps to get more sales and inquiries? I help many of my clients achieve this and more, and would love to chat to you about how a new website could solve real business problems.

3- Your website is hard to manage and maintain

Every time you need to make one small change on your website, you need help from your web designer or developer. It’s frustrating to say the least and you’re over trying to update and maintain it.

This is a common complaint I hear, especially from people whose websites were built a few years ago. If you want better control of your website on an easier-to-manage platform, then it’s time to consider a website rebuild.

4- Your website is really slow and doesn’t work properly anymore

Slow-loading websites are frustrating to use for everyone. They lead to higher bounce rates (people leaving as soon as they arrive on the site) and less conversions (online sales, sign-ups, inquiries). Slow-loading websites are bad for business. What’s even worse is a website that doesn’t function correctly. This is hurting your brand and it’s time for a revamp.

5- Your brand, products or services have changed

Perhaps you’ve recently invested in a rebrand. Or maybe you’ve pivoted your product suite or service offering. If you have made big changes to your business, then it’s definitely time for a new website that reflects what your business has become and helps support it.

5 important ways a new website can help your growing business:

  • Attract ideal customers and clients.
  • Get more online sales.
  • Get more inquiries from people who are really excited to work with you.
  • Appear on the first page of Google when someone searches for the services and products your business offers.
  • Improve efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

I’d love to chat with you about how a new website could transform your business (and the way you feel about it). Leave a message here and I’ll be in touch to arrange a no-obligation discovery call.
